The answer is YES….lighting affects every aspect of our lives from home to work, inside and out, from when we play to when we sleep. How safe we feel, how easy we read, how hard we squint, lighting effects it all but we take it for granted.
Our problem is we have a lack of ” the understanding of light” and the importance or lack of importance that we put on it. ” You really don’t need that” or do you?
Ask any woman where she feels lighting is important and you will probably get these answers, ” In the kitchen or the bathroom “, Ask any man and you may hear ” In the media room or maybe under the hood “. Ask anyone in retail and they will say its on there products. Ask the NFL and they will say its when the lights go out on a nationally televised game.
Light can’t be touched or smelled or heard or felt…well maybe it can be felt. Have you ever gone some place that was lit so well it took your breath away and made your mouth drop open. Light does effect all of us, just take some time to think about it.
Lighting professionals are here to help with all the questions and concerns that our customers have. We, as lighting professionals, are constantly trying to keep up with the ever changing technology and figure out how to integrate it with existing products….chasing knowledge to help our customers. We are usually ahead of the the game but sometimes not.
Who does lighting effect….all of us.
