Ron Turney
Ron Turney and his wife, Debbie, founded Turney Lighting & Electric in 1983. From the company’s inception, Ron, Debbie and their sons, Joel and Donovan, have worked to build it into a thriving business that includes two lighting showrooms and a full service electrical contracting division. Ron based the company on the important values of service, quality, integrity and an attention to detail. In his position as President, he oversees the three locations of the business. Ron also enjoys helping children grow and learn by sponsoring numerous 4-H and FFA projects in the San Antonio Livestock Show and neighboring county shows. In his spare time, Ron loves spending time with his family, his animals and appreciates the Texas Hill Country and all that it offers.
Debbie Turney
Debbie Turney has worked alongside her husband Ron and their two sons, Joel and Donovan Turney for the last 27 years. Debbie and Ron opened the doors of Turney Lighting in 1983 and have since built the company into a successful business with two Lighting Showrooms and a full service Electrical Division. Debbie has worked in all aspects of the company from Sales to Accounting. She serves as Vice President as well as Purchasing Manager. In her free time, Debbie enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, her many dogs and gardening.
Liz Turney
Liz started working for the family when they started up the electrical side of the business. She brought with her over ten years experience in Accounts Payable, HR and general office skills to help the business with its new endeavor. Liz has been working alongside Debbie and Ron at the 410 Lighting Showroom for the past twenty years. In her spare time, Liz loves to spend time with Joel and their two beautiful girls, and playing Bingo.
Joel Turney
Joel started working for his parents in his junior year of high school through a school-work program. During his senior year, he would leave school before noon each day to go work in the warehouse. In a short time, he would also leave some days to learn and perform field installations. He became warehouse manager and eventually made his way into sales. Joel became a sales rep for many homebuilders including Aspen Homes known today as DR Horton homes, where he also met his wife, Liz. They now have two children and reside in Helotes, Texas which is also the location of the electrical division for Turney Lighting and Electric and where he currently works. Joel is techy and kind of the geek of the family. He would prefer building a new computer versus going hunting, or reading an issue of Popular Science in lieu of a sports magazine. He does enjoy a bit of fresh water fishing when time allows, but most of all during his free time, he enjoys the online interactive gaming experience of Xbox, Playstation, and the PC.
Morgan Turney
Morgan started working for the business after graduating from Texas State University in 2021. She is a proud third generation to be working for Turney Lighting, training in all aspects of the business including Sales, Accounting, and Warehouse. She enjoys working alongside her team members and learning everything she can from her mother, Liz. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends and family, her dog Rose, and playing video games.
Chris Andrews
Chris has been in the lighting industry for 12+ years, starting in the Turney warehouse for two years to learn the ins and outs of product, shipping and receiving. An opening for sales opened up and Chris jumped at the opportunity to become more involved in the company’s growth. After being a sales representative for over five years, Chris was promoted to the Sales/Showroom Manager where he has been at that position for over 5 years. He really enjoys selling everything from basic builder fans to creating a 5,000 sq. ft. custom house package. In his spare time he enjoys his time with his two children Naomi and Dalls and is actively involved in recreational football and basketball.
Devon David
Devon David started in the lighting business in 1999 at a large electrical supply company with a small showroom. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, but quickly decided that lighting was the design direction she was interested in. She has worked at different showrooms in Austin and Houston, in both residential and multi-family sectors. She also spent five years in the oil and gas industry building extensive databases, and working with different coworkers and landowners from all over the country. With her diverse background, and experience with electrical and technical as well as aesthetics, she has a well-rounded ability to provide customer service.
Jackie Gibler
Jackie Gibler started in the lighting business 17 years ago, coming from a back ground of Family Services and Community Outreach. Since she has always worked with a diverse range of people she gained valuable communication skills, allowing her to provide excellent customer service and the ability to work well with anyone. Jackie has been a Certified Lighting Specialist since the year 2000. She has experience in all aspect of lighting from light bulbs to whole house lighting packages for Custom Builders and Interior Designers. In addition to her professional achievements she is active in her community supporting the local food pantry and the Community Needs Council.
Brenda Kibler
Brenda has been employed with Turney Lighting for over two years. She started out in the lighting industry 6 years ago with the Gallery of Lighting. Since then she has made her rounds in the lighting industry, working with lighting design for standard track homes up to high-end custom homes. Brenda as also has been working side by side with Genesis Custom Homes in selecting the lighting for the Parade of Homes for the last few years. Brenda enjoys helping first-time home owners design the lighting for their new homes, as well as current home owners looking to remodel. During her off time, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family, pets, and loves running in the park.
Monica Luna
Monica Luna is a Certified Designer, an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Design, and has worked for Turney Lighting for two years. She quickly found a passion for assisting homeowners in selecting the finishing touch that lighting provides for a home. Whether you are looking to add drama to a dining room with the perfect chandelier or need to select every fixture for a custom home, Monica will work diligently to hone in on your style and vision. She then makes recommendations based on her extensive product knowledge of the more than eighty manufactures available to Turney Lighting & Electric. She also enjoys helping customers find all the other wonderful décor items that make a house a home found at our Turney Showroom in Boerne, such as unique and beautiful furniture, mirrors, artwork and decorative lamps. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, cooking, finding new creative and artistic activities and doing community service.
George Nieto-Reyes
George has worked in the residential lighting industry since 2000 and has developed a keen sense of the homeowner’s ideas and design. Working with both custom home builders and residential developers, George has developed a rapport with the builders and homeowners resulting in repeat business. George is married and enjoys being “Papo” to their young granddaughter and riding motorcycles in his spare time.
Ren Mcbryde
Ren has worked in general sales for 8 years, helping homeowners decorate and furnish their homes with the latest trends and styles. From furniture to lighting, Ren has gained experience across the field to be able to work with different types of clientele. Working with the company, she is still developing and fine tuning her skills as a sales representative to be able to be as proficient in the lighting business as she can be. In her free time Ren likes to spend time with her three cats and likes to design mock house models.
Melinda Wells
Melinda has been working with residential builders and in building sales since 2008. Starting out in the flooring and countertop sector, she discovered her passion for the entire process. In 2011, Melinda began her career in the lighting business. Melinda worked closely with builders and homeowners alike to meet budget needs and achieve the perfect look for new homes with lighting. She contributed for five years in award-winning Parade Homes in Victoria, TX. In June 2016, Melinda moved back to her hometown of San Antonio and joined the Turney Lighting team.
